DIVERGE talked to Rob Matzkin, Co-Founder, COO  to find out more:

You are a career entrepreneur, what led you to this new venture?

Yes, I am a career entrepreneur, I have been working in startups for over 10 years, but I also grew up in a family business,  and was brought up in a business environment. What brought me to MyQuest was I really wanted to be part of a project that makes a difference, and makes an impact in people’s lives. After working on my last start up, Booze Carriage, I wanted have a positive impact in people’s lives rather than sell alcohol. It was a great business, however, I made a big shift in my personal life and really wanted to help people and give back. So when sitting with Edan, my partner and Co Founder, I realized that MyQuest was exactly what I was looking for. Everyday we get to help people improve their lives in a positive way. This is what led me to this venture. It’s really special and everyone on the MyQuest team has a purpose-driven approach. We want to help people,  we want to make a difference. Every time we get a sale I get an email, it’s exciting, not only that we have money in the bank, but hey, we made a difference in someone’s life. That is what makes this venture special for me

How does the brand intend to generate revenue? B2C, B2B?

We generate money in a few ways through different models and partnerships:

  • We generate revenue for our partners through a one-time fee or a subscription model for Quests being sold.
  • With our B2B partnerships we have an upfront fee, we invest a lot of time, in the technology and everything we do, we really provide value – they have to produce course material and in addition there is a small subscription fee. We want to make sure that both sides are scaling and that there is synergy.
  • Our B2C model, we charge the end user a one-time fee or subscription, depending on the Quest, the price ranges from $9.90 to 29.90 and the subscription fees are around $20 a month.
  • Our B2B customers can charge at the price point they feel fit and there is a revenue share policy.

Are you doing any marketing currently?

Marketing – of course! For the B2C channel we use a lot of content and social marketing,  Facebook being our shining light and leading platform. Adwords has proved more difficult in our niche however we do run affiliate campaigns.  For B2B we are working on building brand awareness and a sales funnel.

You have a solid list of expert Mentors currently; are there plans for any others at this point?

What I am always working on is constantly sourcing new top talent globally and new partnerships. We want to work with the best because we believe we have the best platform for them. We have great mentors. I mean it when I say that that we want to work with the best, we are providing the best next generation solution for people to achieve their goals.  So if you are an expert, you really want to work with us because we have created the interactivity for people and allow our experts to work directly with the consumer.

We are really proud of the mentors that we have now:  Sanya Richards Ross 4X Olympic Gold Medalist,  Liz Josefsberg leading weight loss coach and former Weight Watchers Ambassador,  who has helped thousands of people lose weight including Jennifer Hudson, Jessica Simpson and Charles Barkley just to name a few of the celebrities she has helped. We have seen outstanding results with the people in her Quest and Liz is there helping them on a daily basis. Soon,  Vanessa Simmons is launching a get fit Quest powered by her awesome trainer Kevin Bansley. Kevin is a trainer’s trainer based out of LA with qualified experience and knowledge and an amazing client list.
