FleishmanHillard has appointed Terri Owen, Senior Vice President and Senior Partner, as the new general manager of its headquarters office in St. Louis.
“I’m honored to receive this opportunity of a lifetime,” Owen said, in a statement. “Together with other leaders across the office I’m ready to build on the firm’s rich heritage, while empowering and strengthening our staff and capabilities.”
Owen’s responsibilities will focus on developing the vision and executing the strategic plan for the office, including client service, business acquisition, recruiting and staff development, innovation and investment in resources.
She started at the firm while finishing her master’s degree in human resource development and was hired after graduating as an Assistant Account Executive for the communications team. Owen helped grow the practice, eventually becoming the employee communications practice group lead in St. Louis and then the global internal communications practice leader.
“St. Louis is the birthplace of FleishmanHillard and remains a critical centerpiece as our firm’s global headquarters 70 years later,” said J.J. Carter, FleishmanHillard Chief Operating Officer and President, Americas, in a statement. “Terri’s experience building teams, engaging talent and nurturing curiosity for more than two decades at the firm will help propel our largest office into the future.”
Owen specializes in change management, training and development, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, cultural alignment, internal brand alignment, product launches and customer service initiatives.
