J. Walter Thompson Bangkok Taps João Braga as Chief Creative Officer

J. Walter Thompson Bangkok has named Joao Braga, an award-winning creative director with global experience, for the role of chief creative officer.

He joins JWT Bangkok from Ogilvy Singapore, where he served as the global creative director on Pond’s and other regional accounts. Before that, he spent more than three years in Portugal as creative director, and later executive creative director, at Publicis.

“J. Walter Thompson Bangkok has an amazing team and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join them,” he said. “Take a country with an incredibly strong, authentic creative culture and a great global network, add some Brazilian flair to the mix, and you can expect a very energising experience and some world-class work.”

Before joining Publicis Lisbon, Braga worked in Brazil for 12 years at Lew’LaraTBWA and JWT Sao Paulo. He has developed work for clients including Coca-Cola, Renault, Visa, Nokia, HSBC, Kraft Foods, Nissan, Nestle and Microsoft and has been recognised with various national and international awards, including at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

“Joao is an incredibly talented creative who is driven by curiosity about people, culture and trends. We’re excited to have him on board,” said Parattajariya Jalayanateja, managing director of J. Walter Thompson Bangkok.
