MullenLowe Singapore Creates “Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People” For PETA

Posted May 1, 2017

“How would you feel if cows treated humans the way that humans treat cows in the dairy industry?”

PETA Asia has launched a new campaign created by MullenLowe Singapore, “Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People.” The campaign features animals talking about the abuses they endure as if it happens to humans.

MullenLowe and PETA have also released two different videos for the campaign. One is directed towards the dairy industry while the other focuses on the Foie gras production.

“These videos put the shoe on the other foot, or hoof, by asking viewers to consider how they’d feel if human children were force-fed for foie gras or human women were repeatedly inseminated and hormonally manipulated for milk production,” a spokesperson for PETA Asia told DIVERGE. “Sometimes, a new perspective can be the push people need to make kinder choices that spare animals from a lifetime of suffering, such as choosing soy or almond milk over cow’s milk.”

“Foie Grass production is so cruel that several countries have already banned it. PETA Asia’s new campaign videos, created by MullenLowe Singapore, look at the dairy industry and foie gras production from a totally different perspective,” the spokesperon added. “The animals in the videos are all “Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People”! All animals who are used for food endure horrific suffering. Show your love for all living beings by not eating them.”

For their last campaign with an ad agency, PETA Asia teamed up with an ad agency Ogilvy & Mather. The campaign won two Gold Lions for its “Behind the Leather” pop up shop.
