Ad Council’s 63rd Annual Public Service Award Dinner: Sheryl Crow to Perform

The Ad Council, a private, non-profit organization and the largest producer of public service advertisements (PSAs) in the U.S., announced today that Sheryl Crow will perform and James Corden, Comedian and Tony Award-Winner James Corden will be emcee their 63rd Annual Public Service Dinner this week.

“We are thrilled to have Sheryl Crow perform live at our Annual Dinner,” said Lisa Sherman, President & CEO, Ad Council, in a press release. “Sheryl is an incredible musician and an inspiring role model who uses her talent to support so many important causes. With her performance, and James Corden as emcee, I know it will be an unforgettable night in celebration of social good.”

Crow, who has sold more than 30 million albums globally and garnered nine Grammy Awards (out of 32 nominations) from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, also supports many nonprofit causes including Stand Up To Cancer, The World Food Program, Feeding America and ADOPT A CLASSROOM.

The event, which is presented by iHeartMedia Inc., will take place at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City on November 16 and will honor corporate leaders for their contributions to public service.

Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe Systems will be honored this year for his philanthropic work and public service contributions through the Adobe Foundation and it will be chaired by Margo Georgiadis, President of Google, Inc. and Chair of the Ad Council’s Board of Directors.

The event is attended by over 1,400 prominent executives from the media, advertising, and corporate communities. Last year, the benefit raised $4.1 million to support the Ad Council’s programs and has been the major fundraising event for the Ad Council since 1953.
