As a part of Lexus’s “December to Remember” campaign, Lexus and Team One created Santa’s Hot Lap in which passengers are challenged to read Santa’s massive list aloud while being whipped around Willow Springs Raceway.
Bringing together precision driving and reaction videos outperforming other car videos on Lexus’s social channels, the video aims to spread holiday cheer.
Racecar driver Scott Pruett stars as Santa while taking fans on hot laps in his “sleigh,” the RC F GT3 concept car, while passengers shout off the list. For every item that is read aloud during the lap, Lexus donates $1,000 to Toys for Tots.
The video shows passengers reading of a wish list that includes everything from plane tickets to baby brothers to a super secret lab, which resulted in Lexus donating $100,000 for Toys for Tots.
The video also ties in with the “December to Remember” campaign for the luxury car as it revolves around adults trying to talk to Santa, similar to the TV spots.
