NAMIC adds Two New Board Members to Advance D&I

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) has appointed two Charter Communications, Inc. executives to governance roles serving on its Board of Advisors and Board of Directors, a release announced. Rhonda Crichlow, Charter’s Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, and  Cheryl M. Manley, Charter’s Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Employment Law, have joined the NAMIC National Board of Directors.

“NAMIC is honored to welcome Rhonda and Cheryl, distinguished diversity champions who both bring the highest level of business and legal acumen to their leadership roles,” said Michelle L. Rice, Chair, NAMIC National Board of Directors, and Executive Vice President, Content Distribution & Marketing, TV One, in a statement. “Having their guidance and counsel is a win for NAMIC’s members, partners and all of those stakeholders within our industry who share in the goal of advancing diversity and inclusion.”

The two will be joining the current members of NAMIC’s Board of Advisors include David Cohen, Senior Executive Vice President, Comcast Corporation; Patrick Esser, President, Cox Communications, Inc.; Stacy Green, Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources and Facilities, A+E Networks; and Joshua Sapan, President and Chief Executive Officer, AMC Networks.

Chrichlow, who joined Charter in October, spent 10 years at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation as vice president, Head of U.S. Diversity and Inclusion, and president of the Novartis U.S. Foundation.

“As the United States becomes more diverse, the industry must focus on understanding the needs of multicultural communities that consume our products and services. Charter is committed to diversity and inclusion, and I am excited to serve on the NAMIC Board of Advisors and join my industry colleagues in fostering a more inclusive cable and communications industry,” Crichlow said in a statement.
