MullenLowe Group is encouraging people across the world to shake up their season’s greetings with the #MLGshakermaker. The MLGshakermaker allows people to create and customize their own virtual snow globe (shaker) scene and send it to friends and family as an e-card with a personalized message.

The scenes you can choose from include:
- Arctic: a polar explorer adventure, complete with ice station, a walrus and snowmobile, set against a northern lights backdrop
- Alpine: an après-style log cabin and ski theme, topped off with a snow yeti
- Jungle: a mysterious explorer theme with safari suits, a cheeky monkey and blinking animal eyes
- Mars: an out of this world theme featuring martians, UFO’s and space suits
- Fairground: take a trip to the fair with candyfloss, carnival rides and Punch and Judy
- Underwater: a diving adventure featuring hidden treasure, sunken ships and underwater friends
- Beach: chill out in a tropical island paradise with surfboards, sharks and palm trees
- Penthouse party: bring in the new year in style with a penthouse party scene complete with fireworks, friends and formal attire

Where did this idea come from?
As a network who challenges the norms, we wanted to shake up the traditional approach to agency network Holiday Greetings! We have all received generic cards and corporate gifts that can feel impersonal and often become unwanted desk clutter. We wanted to create a digital campaign for everybody that allows them to celebrate the holiday season in their own unique way.
Who is the team behind this?
The campaign was produced by a MullenLowe Group global project team consisting of:

The site was developed over two months using HTML5, CSS3, Canvas.js, PHP7 and Symphony technology to create a seamless digital experience.

The illustration style was designed to subtly reflect the MullenLowe Group branding using cross-hatching and subtle shading to bring to life the unique scenes, characters and objects. Each scene also features a special cameo appearance from the MullenLowe Group octopus!

What has the response been to this?
We have had a very positive response to the campaign so far with over 2,500 visits to the website, over 400 total shakers completed and over 150 shares on social media after the first week alone.
Why is this unique?
This is a global and inclusive digital campaign which does not focus on any one geographic location, or holiday celebration.
The #MLGshakermaker gives everyone the chance to create and share their own unique season’s greetings, wherever they are in the world or however they celebrate this special time of year.
