Wunderman Health Hires Merkle’s Deborah Furey to Lead Personalized Marketing Practice

Wunderman Health has named Deborah Furey Senior Vice President of Strategy & Analytics to lead its new Personalized Marketing Practice, according to a recent announcement.

Furey, who was hired to build due to significant new business wins and strong, double-digit growth, in 2016 will report to CEO Becky Chidester.

“Nothing is more personal than your health – the future of healthcare marketing will be anchored in customer-focused programs that recognize and treat customers uniquely,” Chidester, said in a release. “With experience in management consulting and health strategy driving growth for market leaders such as Merkle, FICO, and PWC, Deb is the right leader to drive and advance our Personalized Marketing solution and to partner with our clients to evolve their businesses for the future.”

Furey will work on extending the capability of Wunderman Health’s Personalized Marketing Service pilot program with several large healthcare companies in the U.S and globally.

The focus will include life sciences, insurance and other healthcare organizations.

“The Service’s focus will be three-fold: (1) accelerating personalized digital for healthcare companies, which have been notoriously slow to adapt in our digital era; (2) implementing solutions that connect customer-insights and data assets to customers’ health and treatment journeys; (3) establishing dynamic, data-inspired content strategies that are at once compelling and engaging for heath stakeholders,” explained the press release.

Furey will be in charge of harnessing Wunderman’s exceptional data, technology and creative services to deliver advanced strategies and approaches for the Personalized Marketing Practice. She will also build on existing capabilities and drive new solutions to enable the company to excel against traditional and less-traditional competitors, the release explained.
